hks mushroom filter alterative

I'm slowly but surely getting my little evo 3 back together it currently has a hks mushroom filter on it as space is very limited on them. personally I don't like them and having given up on my search for a standard air box I'm looking for an alternative cone filter which will be similar dimensions to the hks. has anyone got a suggestion. BTW my car is 45 minutes from me so I don't have measurements of space available.

If you really are stuck for space that tight, then only another mushroom type will fit ?

Greddy make some, and IMO they are a little easier to get into tight spaces due to their design. But as with any small filter they will do either of 2 things
Filter like fk all, or flow like fk all..Getting a good setup is about achieving as much filtration area as possible.

Even the likes of HKS, there are so many damn copies out there it'd be hard to even know if its genuine or not.


There are almost no K&N cones that are as small as a mushroom...so it really depends how small you actually need it.
