F80 M3 default power on settings
Discussion
every time I the car the suspension and steering are always on sport and not comfort, is there anyway to change this setting so that the come on at comfort setting - I have looked through the manual and yet to find anything of any use.
I could set the m1 & m2 buttons up but prefer to leave these for the more aggressive modes....
any suggestions?

They are stuck on those settings on start up not too fussed about that but then again I drive round in sport+ what I don't like is the default eco setting on the throttle.
Having settled for comfort dampers and comfort steering (CP car) I'm still trying to choose a default throttle setting.I'm mostly in Efficient because its quiet and you can still make good progress if you can reset your foot to having to use a lot of throttle pedal.
Sport seems to be meh..noisy but without the sport+ throttle response.
Sport+ is great for throttle response, lighting up the rear tyres in second gear and scaring people in underground car parks!
You'd think that the default cold start would be: efficient/comfort/comfort (especially for CP cars).

In the F06 M6 that's exactly what you get, but you can't change it. As the basic systems are the same, I'd guess that there must be some way to change the defaults using E-Sys or similar, but maybe no one has figured it out yet.
The best option would be for it to just remember the mode it was last in.

Not sure, I'd say sport+ is what the car is meant to be, lots of things are changed within the drivetrain and engine all the filters taken off and the car is a direct as it can be. When I put it back into efficient I'm horrified by the way the car responds.

Yeah I sort of agree...except that in sport+ you can't just step hard on the throttle in lower gears without the traction control kicking in which sort of kills the fun a bit. Now the warm weather is here and MDM is normally on, using sport+ can get a bit exciting. When I put it back into efficient I'm horrified by the way the car responds.
I completely switched off the DSC the other day to make a standing start...it was hilarious, just sliding gently sideways with the wheels smoking
I guess years of E92 M3 have spoilt me a little, I miss the linear throttle response and being able to finely adjust the attitude of the car with the throttle.
Maybe thats why I'm liking "efficient" more than most people...its far less "spikey" and you can get good performance as long as you keep the boost up and use a lot of pedal travel.

Yes I miss the S65 as well.
