Should your wipers be the same size on the S3

The passenger side wiper seems to be too long. It sort of goes straight when it should curve (i.e. hug the window). I measured the driver's side (42 cms) and thought the passenger would be shorter (have had experience of cars where they are different). But they are both the same length.

Does this mean that I have to get a smaller one for the passenger side? Or do you think the blade is knackered? Will I have to put up with a wiper blade that is about 5 cms over-shot?

Just had a look at my V8S

The wiper blades are 41cm and the arms about 39cm

Thanks for the above, I will go to Halfords sometime this week and see if I can get some shorter ones.
