Alarm playing up

My alarm went off in work this morning...carried on even after i disarmed it.
I've done a search and guess the rain had something to do with it ?
I've unplugged the siren for now,so looks like i'll be removing the siren tomorrow to see if i can dry it out?

I would say that's your problem RAIN!

You say you've unplugged it, well after you've dried it out, reconnect it and bind the connector with self-amalgamating tape to stop water ingression.

If possible, reposition the siren so it faces back towards the radiator or at least so it points downwards.

Found the alarm problem..the wiring loom down to the siren was damaged due to heat.All the insulation had cracked off.I've replaced all the wires and so far no false alarms.
I,ve found though that arming/disarming can be a little hit and miss...is this a sign of needing new batteries in the fobs?

People are understandably going to be sensitive when integral security components are discussed on a public forum. The Mods have to make a judgement call as to what posts represent an unacceptable risk. If you don't like a decision, fine, in my experience the Mods are all very reasonable and willing to discuss any issues. However, if we could now change the record please...

There is a slightly wider concern with divulging sensitive information, it concerns insurance companies they happen to take a very dim view of anybody describing alarm and car circuitry and rightly so IMHO.

So you keep putting sensitive information in and I'll keep taking it out!

FWIW pupp, my Chim didn't get rain in the electrics AFTER I got it.

So the alarm always worked and never made false alarms!

Really? Able to back that up with some empiric statement of industry policy to that effect with a verifiable source are you? I mean it's not like they have a vested interest in their insureds actually keeping their alarms functioning, is it?
