Nasty accident on the A30 near Camberley on Saturday. Motorcyclist hit a car and flew over the top and then hit a fence from what I could see.

There were 3 police cars there and I have never seen such a shambles in sealing off a scene.

One of the bib had parked his car at the side of the road (instead of broadside blocking the road which would have been more sensible). This was just after a side turning. Approaching from the side turning to go onto the main road, there was a no right turn sign. So people were naturally turning left (which happened to be in the direction of the accident). The plod was just chatting to his mates and then went mental with people when they started driving past him! (he shouted to a fellow bib that he was going to hit a motorist over the head with a cone)

It eventually dawned on him that those cones in the back of his car might have another use (apart from hitting members of the public with), and he finally worked out how to lay them out in a line to block people and divert them down the side road.

A security guard from a nearby office decided to walk up to him and explain that since they had turned up they had made the situtation worse. Plod took an exception to this and started having a go at the security guard (who was aged about 70 odd).

"So you are a senior accident investigator are you" he shout at the guy.

He seriously had an attitude problem. A few of the other people I was standing with had to be held back as they could not believe the way this bib was speaking to members of the public.

Is a real shame when members of the public get treated in such a manner. This only helps to lower peoples opinions of the bib in general (who I happen to think do a great job on the whole).

It is also a shame that the biker died.

Perhaps he was a trainee, or new to the job? I wouldn't want to see a dead motorcyclist. Not nice.
