I have read in a number of posts about the V8 oil filter produced by David Brown.

A number of people have correctly identified in different threads the web site is down and he appeared to have disappeared; unfortunately he has had some health issues, but the good news is that I have spoken to him today and he is still producing the filters. You can contact him at the following email address slicebrown@hotmail.co.uk

Please spread the word.

Cheers
Paul

It's important to note these filters are longer than the standard one and won't fit some cars, others it will just fit with a few mm clearance to chassis and some you'll need to lift engine to get filter onto threads and keep engine as high as possible. I've got one that I couldn't get on without lifting engine so used a different filter for now. My next oil change I might try to test fit this filter and lower engine back into position but if the clearance is less than 5 mm I won't use it.
Great filters though so if you can make it fit a very good addition and can only help engine and oil life/ longevity. thumbup

I've got three of these filters going spare as they're little to long for my Chimera since I fitted new SC-Power engine mounts.

PM me if you're interested.

Dave.

Good to hear that he's still producing those. Many thanks for the email.
