Diff ident

Further to my diff woes, I can purchase a replacement BTR diff, but I`ve been informed that I need to ident the ratios of my existing diff, I cant see any markings on it to help. Failing that I need to find out the spec of my car, it`s a chimaera 400 and that`s all i know. Can anyone shed any light so i can progress with the diff work, thanks.

they are usually 3.31 but if you can get a 3..45 it will accelerate faster (-;

Mines a 2000 year car and had 3.45 from factory. Just replaced it with a 3.45 and very happy.

Where`s the best place to buy a replacement Diff from and what would you consider a reasonable price to pay ? Mines a BTR Diff Chimaera 450 1998

Thanks for the reply, specialist had problems removing nearside adjuster , its now out of the Diff so hopefully no more problems re-conditioning it
