This is not meant to be a stealth boast post!

I have far too much stuff, I admit it.

I have far too many places to leave my stuff.

Different houses, different sheds, garages etc

It is chaos...

I know I own a wetsuit, I'm about to go surfing next week.... found wetsuit boots, can't find wetsuit, might be in Devon (no not the same bit of Devon that I'm going surfing in,,,,) but then again I'm not sure...

Anyone know of an app that can keep track of which location things are stored?

Already resorted to GPS trackers on vital items like my daughters teddy bears.....

Simple spreadsheet would do it.

Or work on your memory - mnemonics are what I use.

It was a viz top tip once

Simply tie a piece of string to everything you own, then when you need something, start at one end and work along until you find it

I know 2 girls who had this installed by their respective partners. Both knew it was there.

Younger one was a victim of domestic abuse! eek I hear shes finally out now, but it took years and during that time he was so controlling she would act as if he was looking over her shoulder the whole time. Even if he was miles away she was paranoid that she's "lose him" if she did anything that could be misconstrued rolleyes

The older one said it's because her fiancée obviously loved her and wanted her to be safe. Her now husband is an anti social odd ball. It's all passive aggressive towards her. The old "you don't need anybody else, I'm here for you" She's ONLY ever been with him since they met when she was a teen (he's a good 10 years older!) It's strange because in everything else she is independent minded and not afraid to do her own thing. But when it comes to hubby she's completely different confused

Out of interest, did the male partner have it installed on their so they could see his location? It can be useful for couples (or friends even) to know where another person is at any time, but obviously if it's one-sided (because either they refuse or they are too scared to ask) then it's creepy and controlling.

I'm constantly buying and selling possessions. It's maybe as obsessive as hoarding but in the opposite direction. If I don't use it enough or it can be upgraded cheaply enough then it's gone.

Both examples were installed by the guys so they could see where the girls phone (and by default they) had been.

It was never reciprocated in that the girls knew where the guys had been, since obviously they trusted them.

I was obviously surprised when they mentioned it casually. I was actually telling older girl about younger girl at the time, but neither girl ever said they had the same app on the guys phone. And I wasn't about to dig, as it was obvious what my reaction was and I didn't want to have the conversation laugh
