Hi all

The battery ran flat on my boyfriend's Aygo last week, so I charged it and put it back in the car.

Now the above three lights have all come on at the same time, and the central locking has stopped working, but the battery is fully charged. It's obviously all related but can anyone tell me what it could be?

We're selling the car so could do with it not being an expensive fix.

Thanks
Annie

Connection to the battery, or one of the big fuses on the battery somewhere.

You could try driving it. My car complains of steering and wheel sensors, but they clear as I drive up the road.

Have you made sure the alternator is charging/made sure alternator belt is in place? Generally if an alternator is failing to charge or has completely failed then you will get battery warning on the dash and then begin to see abs/esp/steering faults start to appear on the dash.

Lots of modern cars have systems in place that detect when there are potential electrical draw issues.

It could be that as the battery has been disconnected from the car it has seen that at some point there was no electrical supply, this may have triggered its protection systems thinking there is a major issue.

Try asking the local main dealer/googling if this car needs to be told that it is now all ok again.

I know (for instance) all audis & most vws now need a visit to the main dealer/someone with the correct software on a laptop once the battery has been changed to tell the car's Electronics that it has been changed.
