Classifieds saved search notifications not working

I saved a search last week, and switched on notifications. In the last 6 days I've had 27 emails for 'New saved search results', yet when I click through to view the results, nothing's changed. The same set of cars that matched my criteria last week are shown each time, with no discernible difference in the listing.

Is the notification system broken? Or are dealers trying to game the system by 'touching' the ads, saving them with a minor change twice a day to make the ad appear to be new and therefore generate another notification email?
