Good Afternoon,

Getting through a fair amount of Cardboard, we have 12 x 1200L Card Bins that are filled and collected each each week, thus looking to bale it up and sell it off...

Can anybody recommend a machine or outfit to sort me out? Would also be nice if the machine could also shred so we can re-use some card as stuffing...

Thanks.

i used to work/manufacture these machines. https://www.phoenixcompactors.co.uk/products/verti...

Left them 15 years ago now, but they had machines country wide. Im sure they could help out.

Not sure if Robert is still the owner, with Andrew and Dave as salesmen.

Speak to your local waste paper merchant an independent might even pay you for if the price for cardboard is good http://www.iwppa.co.uk/links.asp

If you provided enough tonnage they might supply you with a compactor to do it yourself and collect the bales, or if you have the space one of these

Hi, I have a couple of people that i know who are in the recycling trade. Depending on how much tons of cardboard your producing they posibly could provide you with a baler and pay you for your bales. If you still interested drop me a message il put you through to them

We have had bailers and shredders in the past. In all honesty the most quickest and straight forward way of disposing cardboard is to get a recycling company that will leave you a roll on roll off container. We do this and you can get a lot in it. The user just chucks the card in. The deal we have is the recycling company take it for free.

Bailers and shredders take up a lot of user time and are expensive not to mention health and safety issues. With the shredders you think its just a simple "stand there and put the card through it", but you need to make sure there are no staples or tape on the box then you need to tear the boxes down to a size the shredder can handle. They cost thousands as well. We bought one and after 6 months sold it because 1 guy in our warehouse was spending about an hour a day shredding cardboard which to me is a waste of time. Bailers take up a lot of time too unless you get a "self bailing" one which then is huge money.
