Even if you're not into the racing, check out

www.pistonheads.com/motorsport/news.asp?s=18&storyId=5334

as David Lord has captured some superb pictures of the action on Sunday. And if you've not been Tuscan racing - get along, it's extremely entertaining!

Thanks Ted,

Excellent pics and I now know why Rod's car was the proud possessor of an orange bonnet when I arrived

Cheers,
Steve.

Great pics Ted... David Lord is a talent in poking the lense into the right direction at the very right moment and he's pushing the button at the very, very right instance. Bloody battle, that's what his pictures are talking. The one showing Guglielmi and Shepherd at the grid is still the best, just pure art. Can I have that as a poster for my bed room ?

Hear, hear to Hansgerd's comment. Ted, how about setting up a download gallery for some of these super pics so that we can have professional looking PistonHead desktops?

I followed every inch of the recent Volvo Ocean Race (virtually, I should add!) and suggest the following link of downloadable pics to give you an idea of what was available after each leg of the race www.volvooceanrace.org/gallery/archive/download/leg_3/
There's one or two pics there (click on a thumbnail to see download facility) that will make your hair (presumption) stand on end

I'll have a chat with David and see if we can sort out an end of season collection of wallpapers/screensavers.

I have ordered several prints from David this season (one form each race I think!!) his work is just great, he captured Rob’s car in the second race with the bonnet smashed to smithereens perfectly, how every enough eulogising about David (sorry Dave only joking!! ) Managed to get a nice low down shot of Steve Guglielmi entering the pits on one of Saturday’s free practise sessions (taken from the pitwall oops… not supposed to do that !!) clearing showing David Lord Photography !!

Steve_T, I think that Rod Barrett’s orange front end might have something to do with a certain race one incident !! Anyway if you were there how come you didn’t pop over to see us at TopCats we were only just over from Hawthorns…

Cheers
Darren

Excellent Photos, the one at the start line with the heavy clouds is great, so much atmosphere, would make a great poster.

Darren,

Didn't make it 'til late, got back from France at between 3 and 4am that day, so a bit tired (grrr bloody M20). Didn't hang around either as I needed to sort a lot of things out at home before the inevitable return to work. If I'd known you were in the pits, I'd have stopped by. Are you a signed up pit crew member for Top Cats now?

Cheers,
Steve.

I know what you mean the traffic was pants on race day and I didn't to have to worry about work - as boss was away

More David Lord pics on hawthornsmotorsport.com (see Snetterton Gallery) Ted, prehaps you could download on to PH to save going to our site, and by the way I think the new bonnet on my car looks OK, but still trying to find the bugger who wrote "you've been TANGO'D" in black felt tip,cos it won't come off!!
