PH Cooking Competition "Tapas"
Discussion
The theme for the next competition is "Tapas".
I love it and we're off to Lanzarote for ten days on Thursday so I will be eating plenty of it. We're staying in a villa so hopefully I will also have time to cook some and put in an entry as well.
The rules are as follows:
Preferably four but a minimum of three different Tapas dishes using a variety of meat, fish, fowl and veg should be submitted with pictures of ingredients, prep, cooking etc and as usual one picture of all the plated dishes together with a short description for voting.
Entries can be submitted from today until Tuesday 2nd May, the poll will commence on Wednesday 3rd May and close on Monday 8th May, results will be announced the next day.

Thought I had better get an entry in as nobody else has and the thread needs bumping.
The grandkids are staying for a few days so last night was going to be a quiet little tapas meal for my wife and I after getting them off to bed.
All change yesterday morning, daughter and son in law coming to dinner before both flying off to work this morning, grandkids are staying up late to eat with us and my wife invites one of our friends who she is out for the day with.
So, as tapas is now required for seven I had to cheat a bit here and there, tone the heat down a little for the kids and didn't have time to do one or two things like the Bravas sauce for the patatas, oh and the Morcilla I ordered on line didn't turn up.
Too short of time to take pics of ingredients or prep so there's just the one photo of large size tapas dishes on the table, the grandkids were hungry so they were being served as I was standing on a chair to take the shot.
From the top;
Calamari (McCains finest)
Breaded cheese sticks (Morrisons)
Jersey Royal new potatoes with olive oil and smoked paprika
Pulpo (Prepared octopus bought on line specially)
Chicken Wings, citrus marinaded and roasted
Pimentos de Padron
Garlic & Thyme Mushrooms
Chorizo in Cider with Rosemary
My second glass of Rioja

Looks like a perfect bank holiday treat.
I was really hoping my old man would be home for his birthday as he lives in Spain/Mallorca and half the family are from there and most of the guys are chefs. Could have gone all out, I even dug out all the crocks and pans.
Anyway, not happening.
Hope you enjoyed the evening.

Does anyone fancy another cooking competition?
If so, given the weather, what about having BBQ as the subject?
The cooking comps seemed to lose momentum some what. If so, given the weather, what about having BBQ as the subject?
Up for more though if they start. Barbeque fine with me too.
I'll start a thread and see how much interest we get.
