I've booked my revised Chimaera in for the evening session - will be the first time to do a track day in it so quite excited!

Anybody else going to Snetterton that day?

I'm toying with the idea of going to this but I'm slightly concerned my car might be too loud.

Hey Dave, I see you've got a 140 as well?? What exhaust do you have?

I have a richter catless downpipe and a straight pipe where the rear muffler should be. Im unsure how accurate it is but I used an app on my phone to measure how loud my exhaust was tonight and just revving to 3.5k showed 123db.

Did you guys go in the end? Evening session was good fun, unfortunately a Caterham blew an engine 5 minutes in the track time, but it was cleared up relatively soon.

Your car sounded awesome. I was in the black with a bit of orange mazda mx5. Was good to follow you round for a bit.

I didn't end up going incase my car was too loud. I will get it tested and see if I can attend an upcoming track day.

Thanks! Just passed the noise test at 101db My girlfriend very much wants an MX5 now, after seeing so many on the track!

Was good to take the Chim yesterday, however needed to take it easy as this was my first track day in 2 years, and the first one with the rebuilt Chimaera!
