I don't think that they look that bad however, much like Ferrari branded watches, I can't see any of the respective car owners fawning over them.

They have a bit of a SevenFriday look about them, all be it in a round case. They're not to my taste either.

So in order to show the 911-ness, you'd need to remove the watch from your wrist and show them the case back...

I'm obviously in the minority here, but I quite like the brown leather-strapped version.

I don't like it, but I can appreciate they have tried to come up with something unusual. The different finishes on the dial are interesting. The article says the dials are made from parts of scrapped 911's.
