(ANSWERED)Classifieds issue

Hope this is in the right place.

I am trying to write an ad in the classifieds at the mo but when I fill in the description field I keep getting "Please do not use html code, email addresses (including @), swear words, or web page links"

I have been through it with a fine toothcomb: there are no html tags, no email addresses (or even occurrences of "@", no swearing, unless "gearknob" is a swearword, and no web page links.

It's quite a long text that I have copied and pasted in, but it gives me no clue of what the problem is, so rather than remove all punctuation or spend the next hour guessing, could somebody give me some clues!?

The TVR? I reckon it's the word knob in gearknob

Yeah, I will give that a go. Pretty pathetic really, why should I have to play games cutting/pasting bits of text to find out what's offending the parser...

Hi Jack, I haven't tried since as I'm not ready for the advert to go live. Will yet you know if I have the problem when I try again. If it is the parser getting upset at the word "knob" it's a bit shortsighted though!

It isn't knob but it could be something else as simple as PistonHeads, or ending a sentence with a full stop and not putting a space between that and the next word. CTRL+F and type .com on your description and see if you get any results.

We banned both phrases to avoid legitimate looking phishing links being sent through the classifieds contact seller form.

Ah - "Pistonheads" is in there, no web link though.

Perhaps change it to PH - annoying as it is, it does help with those pesky phishing links.
