Had my car serviced by the dealer I bought it from and have subsequently noticed many small dents have appeared in the bodywork after they returned the vehicle. I raised the matter with them and despite initial BS they have begrudgingly offered to paint some small areas of the affected panels on a metallic grey car.

I have been to a couple of body shop's and their view is the whole panels need to be painted which the dealer is not prepared to offer. One body shop gave an estimate to repair the damage of £3.5k + VAT so I am caught between the minimal offer from the dealer and a proper body shop repair.

The car is a premium brand and in excellent condition well prior to the service anyway so I really not sure what options are left but I don't believe the offer from the dealer will a) give a good standard of repair or b) not detract from the value of the vehicle. I have pretty much lost faith in the dealer and doubt they are interested in making good the damage to an adequate level so am I looking at getting the car repaired myself and hopefully trying to extract the cost from the dealer.

Are there any other options?

Thanks

Has it broken the paint? if not, a good dent specialist would no doubt be your best option. Pictures would be helpful.

Yes, the paint is broken where it has been taken clean off off the bodywork revealing a black protective coating underneath, the dents are so small that PDR is not an option.
