Brilliant idea I thought. Make a gazillion off sales alone for the Phone of i thunked I.
I set the camera up and recorded the tiv backing out the garage. Nothing leary, just a rumble out. V8 doing a bit of throat clearing.

Get it on the computer and wash it through a tad, not a lot, just a bit. Mic on the camera was surprisingly good for what it is.

Load it into iTunes, faff around for ages as its is more than 30 seconds long.

Get the timing right, get the right format and sync up to the phone.

Then the magic moment. Pick out the tune from the list of ring tones.

Its crap. Its dire...... eeeee gads what a waste of time and effort. Smart phones have crap speakers.

Need to work on it. Maybe some more throat clearing with a right boot on the load pedal.

Nah, camcorder rather than phone ne to record so hat is not it. Levels are good. Just the lovely bone numbing rumble is low frequency. Teen the phone speakers do not do it the same justice as a good amp and some floorstanders.

Must b a way, more higher frequencies....

I should imagine a graphic equalizer or compressor but then you are changing the tone...You could capture the roar of a rev for the phone and keep the deep hypnotic frequency for the floor standers.....Good music to meditate to...smile

An endless loop of trance music then. I need to open a night club and just play this one track all day long.

Wonder if I can chuck it at some software and get it to play God Save the Queen?

Mr Methane didnt need any software...laugh...

If you have Garage band (Mac) or Reason propeller head (PC) you could load the sound in to a sampler and play the sound as a note...smilemusic

GB is not a bad writing tool....I was looking to use Pro-tools as I have been messing about with writing songs for around 40 years...(Jeeze is it really that long...frown )

I use Logic pro x which isnt a patch on Reason or Cubase.....
