Kinesis fork recall

I just heard about this recall and my Racelight is an 07 to 09 vintage. Apparently it effects bikes with a carbon steerer tube but does not effect those with an all alloy tube. I dropped my forks to check them and in my opinion mine are alloy. The black you can see I can only assume is some kind of plastic wrapping as their is still a metallic sound when tapping the tube. I note the top of the tube shows alloy also. Shirley if it was carbon it would make a dull sound and the top of the tube would not be alloy either would it. No evidence of any cracking anywhere either.

Have a look at the inside of the tube, that will tell you if it's aluminium or not.

Steerer bung or star nut would also be a good indicator
