Can VECTOR and SPECS cameras interoperate?
Discussion
Can VECTOR and SPECS cameras interoperate? There's a bit on the A14 southbound at the moment between Bar Hill and the Girton Interchange (part of a long average speed section on both sides) where there's a VECTOR camera within a temporary 40/50mph (not sure which without going back to look), then a national speed limit sign, then a SPECS camera.
My assumption is that this short section is essentially average speed camera free because:
a) As there are two speed limits in the one section, it would be such a tricky sentencing exercise in court due to uncertainty of how much of an average speed is in what 'zone' that it's not sensible to prosecute
b) Even if that isn't true, VECTOR and SPECS cameras don't interoperate.
Are either of the above true?
