Does anyone know how many litres a standard 350 tank holds.I always thought my 2 tanks had been dis connected and a smaller tank put in the boot.but I have been told that I may be running 3 tanks.colin

Thats really bad practice mate.....Besides I dont think you would ever get it all out due to the height of the balance pipes etc...They may only be an inch from the bottom edge up but that inch equates to an amount of fuel that will always stay in there...Might only be a couple of pints a side but it might also be full of crap...frown

The only way to think about it is that if the gauge reads 1/2 then there are 2 x halves...i:e two tanks....I wish TVR had fitted twin senders...This was something I was going to do when we had Delilahs tanks out, They were marine twin LED sensors that go into the top of the tanks....However that was the defeating object.....

Good point. It is low now so I may just fill it and see what it takes

Just be careful not to overfill it or it will start to siphon out the breather...Trust me I know all about this...I nearly burnt down an ancient Belgium woodland...yikes

Have you got a picture of the third tank that you could post?

Note to self: Must read posts with glasses on....Looks like a Chimaera fuel cell...Not sure what their capacity is but I should imagine you would be carrying 100 litres of fuel when all filled up...How is the 3rd tank connected to the fuel pump?

Can you not just tap the 2 original tanks, a simple tap should tell you if they've owt in / level?

Having spent some quality time adjusting the parking brakes, I can't imaging where a 3rd tank would go. So maybe a replacement tank or filler?

Ah. Looking at the height of the tire I didn't see it. Interesting.

Why not get underneath and see what's connected to what?

I wonder why there's a third tank, maybe the original tank(s) were leaking and the easiest fix was to put another tank in the boot.

Nah the easiest fix would have been to put a pipe from the boot, and then just fill the whole boot up with petrol! Ohhh I wonder what the range would be - 500 miles?

You have a boot with no leaks? Is this a unique feature? laugh
