just sold my JDM impreza, so need a replacement.

was thinking of the original non facelift 350z. only 270bhp, and i believe it has a different engine setup to the facelifts?

this is the example i am looking at:

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

seems a decent price and low miles.

what you think? what is the main difference in driving experience between a 2L big turbo, and 3.5L NA? what is it like to ring the revs out on lower gears on the 350z? has anyone driven/owned one?

cheers.

350Z is very linear power. It pulls in any gear at any revs wink

is the 350z torquey down low to make it fun for daily driving? (like how low are we talking?)

it has an aftermarket exhaust on it. do you think that could kill the torque?

350z pretty much does pull well from almost any gear at any revs (anything much north of about 1K rpm). Completely effortless if you want it to be but a nice engine to rev out too IMO. Mine also had an aftermarket exhaust on it and lack of torque was not an issue.

Will pull nicely from 1.5k+, and keep pulling until redline.

It won't necessarily -feel- as fast as a turbo car, because there is no sudden boost of power, but it's definitely still fun. Don't have to wait for the turbo to kick in, you just plant your foot and it goes. Does mean you can end up going very fast without even realising it though.

They're a fast & very capable car as others have said it's linear power delivery will mean it won't feel as fast but keep an eye on the speedo & you'll see that you are getting a move on.

Plus if you want more go then you could always do one these conversions:
