SQ5 servicing, how much are you paying?

it is time for my SQ5's second service

just coming up to 2 years old and 34,000 miles

nothing wrong with it as far as i know

my local dealer is quoting £682 for the service (!!!) - how much is everyone else paying for this kind of thing?

Sounds a bit steep to me, there should be some leeway for a discount in there I'd expect. Not 100% sure the air filter is due then, it might be 60k but can't remember off the top of my head.
Also worth noting it'll be due a gearbox oil service about that mileage too, which will be another £200 or so!

Fixed price service would be £399 - but that's only available once it's 3 years old.

Certainly shows there's a lot of wiggle room in the prices.

Yes, doable for £400 inclusive if you want to stick with a known garage (advisable with the value of vehicle we're discussing).

Gearbox oil not required.

thank you Dr G, i agree, i want a Audi Main Dealer to do it. shame i'm up north and not near yours......

will push my 3 local dealers to see if i can get it down to a more reasonable amount

I normally just pay what Audi quote me. I was quoted £500 for a major service on a 2009 40k S5 4.2L. A local specialist quoted £232!

I got a quote for £440 from another audi garage so it's off there tomorrow.
