my 996tt was dripping a bit of oil, over the last week, booked it in and am told that the 'header' something in the engine is leaking and needs fixing.

So engine and G.Box needs to come out.
My beauty Wont be back for about 6 days, Work being done under the extended warrenty thankfully.

So a sad bunny today

Can only sympathise. My 993tt is currently having the clutch re-replaced, as the first garage did a very expensive but bad job of it and 3000 miles later I was again getting slippage. Turns out that they damaged the spring plate when fitting it - I'm pursuing them for the cost of the repairs because they screwed me and I'm a spiteful git!

So I'm also porkerless - I went to witness the spearation of the engine and the box today along with the auto-expert acting on my behalf. Sad to see her disembowelled like that and depressing not to be able to take her out in the evenings to blow the cobwebs away.

I can only suggest good malt whisky and/or red wine to dull the pain and help the time pass faster...

Ah, but you have other toys for decobwebbage you lucky devil! Loss of the ubercoccinelle in the search for a few HP more or a few Kgs less does not leave you destitute. Whatsmore, we're getting into the season where your new toy will come into its own on those country lanes without freezing your lug'oles off.
