Should I do something stupid?

So this is my engine as it stands....



The airboxes were painted by a PO and I do like the look of them, the red is gorgeous, but....I also like lime green.

As I'm changing the alternator, I've took the opportunity to spruce up the paintwork while I've got the throttle bodies off so the rockerbox/cam cover is freshly matt black then I started looking at the throttle bodies.

I'm really tempted to paint them lime green.

I could paint the fuel rail lime green too....

Opinions...I can always change them back to black if it looks stupid? Anyone handy with photoshop?

I think the red looks awesome and I would want more of it in the bay.

Lime green might make it look a bit boy racer?

I suggest you go all out for what you want, because while you're focused on cosmetics you need to make use of that freedom.

I was thinking the black bits inbetween the red boxes - but now you've done that - I like it even more.

It's not a great pic, but about an hours work with the autosolve chrome polish and you end up with shiny fuel rails, ait con etc

It's idle hands syndrome. I have to wait for a new alternator to arrive so it's stripped down, might as well do some cosmetics while I wait.
