tvr forgotten its british fans?

being an avid TVR and Noble fan, i thought it a dream when my parents told me that to celebrate my 18th birthday they would drive me and a friend to blackpool to have a tour of my favourite marque......
but then imagine my dissapointment when upon phoning the TVR only to find out, "Sorry sir the new boss doesnt allow factory tours anymore" whats all that about man, no more tours? its ok for those people who have full time jobs and can therefore pay the huge membership fees to go to tvr owners track days etc but what about those student fans like myself? how can we be expected to learn more about, enjoy and potentially be convinced to buy a TVR if we can no longer see them being hand built and see the whole range up close.
very bad marketing strategy i would have to say TVR...
has anyone else felt let down by this new "arrangement" at TVR? British cars for British fans surely?
by the way, if any one here owns, or is thinking of buying a Sagaris, but needs someone to test drive it for them, i would gladly oblige, and i dont even require a fee

Get yourself along to a local TVRCC meeting, your sure to be made welcome, you may even be able to blag a trip out. Same as track days, find out where and when and get yourself down there, it cost nothing to watch and again you may be able to get a ride out (don't forget to take a crash lid tho to the track days)

I see you are in Leeds.... Come along to the next North Yorkshire meet on the 14th (check, it's the Thursday). Mine will be away for a service but there's usually about 20 or so cars there including a Ferrari or two. The last couple of meets have also seen a Sagaris and a Murciliago (spelling??) turn up.
Whilst I can understand your dissappointment, it does not cost huge sums of money to join the TVRCC - £35 a year. It also costs nothing at all to go along to your nearest specialist or main dealer and make yourself known.
And as already mentioned, get along to your local club meet and see it all close up, get a ride about, and ask loads of questions.

No problem, simply leave some metal tubing on the floor of your garage, along with some tins of oil and some plastic moulds, not forgetting some dust covered boxes.
Enjoy as much time as you want then by circulating inside the garage for an hour or two.

cheers for the tips all. i never realised the price of membership for TVRCC was actually as low as that, student worthy indeed. thought the price was in the £££'S, anyway, my local dealer is Harrogate, does anyone know whether they have a Sagaris in stock or not? saw a crimson red one at MPH04 and it blew me away.
p.s it still remains that TVR makes the greatest performance cars for the price, out of all the car manufacturers in the world, give me a TVR or a noble over a porsche or ferrari anyday of the week. No Mr. Italian in our suit ill buy a Sagaris and keep my 70 grand change from you modenna 360 CS and still whip your butt round the track...

Gemini do you work for a car magazine??? or are you a member of the TVRCC just couldnt quite work it out from your post, i have a friend whos father is one of the test pilots for TVr, what a job eh, blasting a car round some track in some foreign country and getting paid for it..... sounds ok to me .
anyways, he was telling me that the Sagaris he was testing would keep up with a Zonda S round one of the German test tracks that they were using (not the nurburgring, however you spell it) now thats not bad, 50k for a car that can keep pace with a 250k superdooperwhooper car that is exclusive to persons such as P. Diddly, Beckam, the king of Dubai and other such rich t

also hinted to me that the release of the upcoming Thyphon is set to blow the world away as he claimed that not only would this be faster than any Zonda, but would also be able to keep pace with a certain 500K sold out red italian horse with the title of ENZO....
