What sort of thing is she likely to be shooting Melman?

Just day to day photography of the family etc, she also enjoys going to airshows so the ability to take so nice shots of the planes would be great. I realise a lens upgrade would be necessary for this

You're on the right lines then - Canon and Nikon are the big boys, both are good.

See here for a good place to get a deal: http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/

If it was me I'd go for this: http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/Canon/Canon-Dig... and you've a £100 left to put towards a longer lens for the airshows (the 55-250 is decent and cheap)

or else come up with a wee bit more and get the whole lot in a oner - eg like this http://www.dronesforless.co.uk/cameras/canon-eos-1... (I don't know that site but there will likely be similar deals around if you have a hunt).

Good Luck smile

What did you go for in the end mate?
I'm also looking at that same camera you posted up but i know next to nothing about cameras.

That bundle deal looks good, if I was to print a photo out how big would it stretch with an 18 MP camera?
