I bought this on Wednesday evening from the previous owner who has had it from new. It was from the BMW garage in Chandlers Ford and has been local every since.

The car:
  • Facelift 2003 model.
  • 6 speed manual.
  • 71,800 miles
  • Full Service History - serviced last week.
  • Electric, memory sport seats (not heated).
  • Active bi-xenons.
  • Silver bodywork, grey leather and blue roof.
  • Nearly new Bridgestone RFTs.
  • New rear pads and the rest of the brakes are fine.
There was a massive file of receipts for servicing and other bits that have been done (door locks, window glass replacement, suspension, water pump etc) as well as the service book. It was missing a service in the book between 40,000 - 70,000 miles but I subsequently found a receipt from the BMW Dealer for an Inspection 2 at 55,000 miles!

I took it to my indy yesterday for an air con service (icy cold) and did the brake fluid and changed the spark plugs (before I found the Inspection 2 receipt!).

Drives really well and I enjoyed a bit of a clean (inside, outside and under the bonnet) - my cleaning skills are not going to worry a professional valet company but good enough.

To do:

Not much really - I will have the MV2 alloys done to remove some of the kerbing marks and give the interior a good clean (it is fine as is to be honest) and just enjoy using it.

The price? It was up for £3110 and we agreed on £3000 with a full tank of fuel and that the £110 would be given to charity.

A great car thus far but I seem to be collecting silver BMWs at the moment (E39 530i SE in manual form peeping out in the last photo!)

Great for the money. I still think the E46 is a really nice looking car.

Lovely car.

Top value for money as well. What a nice place to sit for £3000. Enjoy it.

They are good looking cars.

I just need to add a Touring and Coupe to the fleet now!

We had an E46 330i Cab, great car and looked amazing, easily the best looking 3 series convertible.

Cracking buy too, can't see that losing anymore money.
