Hi all.
This year is just flying by. 2,300 mls now and smile getting broader. Practicalities 1st. Oil used since service, none, and it looks as clean as when replaced. After the London Tunnel meet I found water was needed, a pint and a half, which I put down to a lot of time stuck in traffic, but I will keep my eye on it. Tyre pressures constant.
I think the car is running rich, a smell of fuel occasionally though no real starting or running probs.
Still a slight throttle drag so I think further adjustment necassary. All other aspects of driving are great, no issues at all.
As you are aware by now I wouldnt be me without some prob and this months only came to light with the sun coming out at last.
Sun out, roof off and rear screen out. Eve comes, roof on, rear screen in, except it wont go back in!!
Remember I have had a Tusc before so I do know how to put it in. In this case, noooo. Tony spent an hour and could not get both clips to lock. In the end it took 4 guys to fit it, which is no use to me as a feeble damsel on my own, hence I've had to leave it in until I can get dealer to fix. I dont know if its the clip or the rubber seal being too thick.
What I did notice is the boot lid seems to have become missaligned and is now rubbing the paintwork, which again needs to be sorted.
I have sent a set of badges to Levens to be enamelled blue and will post pics when they are fitted. There are supposed to be MK11 ones coming which say just that and are plastic, but I prefer the originals.
It is rumoured that my kickplates have arrived, but it is also rumoured that they are not the numbered Tusc S ones which I was told were being made so we will have to see.
Still no handbook, why Blackpool ?????
I still have the peculiar thing whereby the drivers door ashtray fills with water after every wash whilst all around is bone dry. Hmm, must remember to get dealer to check.
Other than that all is wonderful in the world of MK11 ownership, so I will leave you all in peace.

Till the next time.
