help anyone? Accidentally shift-deleted an inbox subfolder. Now, I've found it on my drive I think 'motor motor.dbx' but how to I integrate this back into Outlook Express 6 & leave everything else as is ?

thanks !!!

never tried it but I would imagine the import features should work - I think they are under "File" in the menus...

Ed, Have you tried

File
Import
Messages
select Outlook Express

Then follow the wizard.

the file > import > messages route only rings a bell & gives message 'the specified message store could not be opened. It may be in use by Outlook Express' grrrrrr

Assuming XP Pro

look for this path
C:Documents and SettingsYour usernameLocal SettingsApplication DataIdentities{great big long number}MicrosoftOutlook Express

where your username is your log in name
great big long number is just that

Drop it in there and re open OE. It should then show

I think I was on the right track.. found this folder last night & it still had 'motormotor.dbx' in it. However after a reboot this evening it's gone so I assume I'm up it without a paddle
