When I owned it:

Now:

yikes

I sold the Jag in 2012 and sills were pretty solid and there was one small rust patch on the rear screen surround. The only major issue on the car was it needed the supports for the offside petrol tank replacing. I had quote for £2500 to put everything right on the car which included a compete re-bush of the suspension using poly bushes. Unfortunately my daily driver died so it had to go to fund a replacement.

I have always regretted selling it and the pity is a few months later I had the cash available to get all the work done and get a replacement daily driver. If I had known this was to be it's fate I would never have sold it as letting it get into the state it is in now from the state it was in 5 years ago is a travesty.

Is it on Ebay, sure I saw the other day while idly browsing.

Its a shame when you see these cars in that state, as they still haven't quite reached the level where the restoration costs make it justifiable.

I loved my SIII, still the best ride of any car Ive owned or been a passenger in, and they just get better looking with age
