Good News But!
Discussion
OK the good news is that passed MOT today, with no advisories, however the guy must be in a good mood being bank holiday weekend as there is a small crack in the chassis.
The crack is in the short cross member rail that has the fastening bolts for diff carrier (front of diff) section and sort of starts from the weld of the small boss that the bolts fasten through, if that makes sense.
Not a big issue as going back next week to clean and weld the crack.
Now then as anyone else experienced similar and what would cause it? Its certainly new and i have had the car jacked up, could this be a cause or is it purely age and or stress from the original welding of the tube?
No rust or anything around so would seem to be just a stress crack.
Cheers
