Positioning motor for temp flap
Discussion
Hi
I have 2006 petrol octavia vrs the Positioning motor for temp flap has packed up.
I'm stuck now with permanent hot air and with summer approaching i need to get it sorted.
However I understand its a pig of a job to change this i've been told a dash out job or possibly going in via the glove box.
Has anyone actually change the part.
I think a garage is probably out of the question due to how much the labour cost would be.
I cant seem to find any on line guide on how to do a right hand drive car.
There are left hand drive vw and skoda guides but nothing for right hand drive.
Can anyone assist.
Thanks

I have a friend with a garage who specialises in VAG group cars, based in Crawley and close to Gatwick for trains. I'm sure it won't be overly challenging but happy to pass on his number if you want to give him a call and discuss? His labour rate is £60/hr incl VAT.
Motor flaps can be fiddly but I'd be surprised if major dismantling was required.
