Anyone like this shot? ('bike on the beach!)
Discussion
Bit static....
I mean you like to see bikes moving! Well, perhaps it's sinking into the beach, but.......
Sorry, and more constructively (perhaps).
Nice, flat lighting gives plenty of room to capture the details. Nicely composed shot, too. As well as considering the position of the horizon (which in any case is beautifully clear and uncluttered), I know I'd be itching to shoot from lower down. I'd also be tempted to go for dramatic sky.
But then I'd probably bv$$3r up what is a perfectly nice shot currently. Good one!

Nice image Dave, like the simplicity and the angle. For me the front wheel has sunk a little too far into the beach (bet you had fun getting that back) and it needs horizontal centring. I looked at this and more or less straight away thought it lend itself very nicely to some B&W toning so I had a play - hope you don't mind:

Hi guys,
I agree about the horizon, was kicking myself when I opened up the images in PS! LOL
I like the B&W and Sepia versions, they look very nice - especially with that sky. I had a look around for nice skies, but didn't have any good ones in my archive. I think I might convert to grayscale and then play around with the contrast, try to create a 'red filter' type effect. I think that would look pretty good.
Oh and yeah, I had fun getting the bike off the beach - feet up, lots of throttle and a big rooster tail out the back! LOL. Juvenile, but good fun. Left a nice arc on the beach too!
Thanks guys,
Dave
