Every 30 days I get a request to change my network password which causes conflict as it is a small workgroup and the other client machines are set up to point at each other.

Is there a way I can stop XP from asking me to change passwords?

Thanks in advance.

Under the user account there should be an option 'Password Never Expires', check this and it will never expire.

Weird....can't find the option. There's an option to remove the password altogether but I'd rather not do this.

Are you on a Windows Domain or just peer to peer?

Seems this is the way forward.
.....If your XP standalone workstation has passwords enabled, by default, XP is set up with passwords which will expire after 42 days. 14 days in advance of expiring, Windows will start asking if you want to change the password. Want an unchanging password?
Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Administrative Tools
Double click Computer Management
Double click Users and Groups
Click Users
In right panel, right click your account and select Properties
Select Password Never Expires checkbox

Cheers Guys, the computers affected did not have the password expiry box ticked so it seems this may be the problem sorted.

Thanks for your help
