I was just wondering on what people thought about buying low mileage cars?

I was looking at a Lexus for a DD that had less than 20,000 miles on it but was an '06 plate. That equates to less than 2000 miles a year, so I was just wondering is it worth going ahead with. Other examples of that price range have twice as much mileage, and not have as a nice of a specification either.

Do Lexus offer a mechanical inspection on cars not bought from them?

Thanks

Low mileage shouldn't be an issue as long as it's been serviced annually.

If it's a petrol Lexus I would say go ahead, as long as there isn't too high a premium over a similar car with higher miles. The petrol cars are generally very reliable, so mileage tends to be less of an issue with them compared to many other makes I could mention. I wouldn't bother with the diesels at any mileage, just not good enough to be worth the effort.

Which model are you looking at?
