so...

Bikes dont have a front reg plate. I think I was doing about 35 in a 30 limit just 10 mins ago. I slowed up when I saw him, he didnt stop me...

What normally happens? Would he have been watching the cars or would he have spun round in his van to catch my reg number?

Im fairly new to bikes so not sure what would happen... m hoping it wasnt worth getting my number

I take it you were approaching the scamera?

He needs to get your plate on camera. Give 'em the finger, then shove your hand over the number plate. F*ck 'em all.

If you are going away from the van, but in the line of "fire" so to speak, they will do you.

Sorry, not true. Bike mate of mine got done by a scamera van - they simply noted down his reg after he had gone past by pen and paper.

Yep, spot on. They will picture you with the speed and just note the reg as you drive away. You word against theres and they win. Just hope they don't mind about 35 in a 30! My fingers are crossed for you.

In the High Wycombe area most of the safety vans are checking for Tax and insurance, not speed. Been caught in a few recently- heard nothing. They have publised their hit rate in the local papers so you may be lucky !

I got done in wales by a mobile camera van.

They have a video camera pointing out the other end of the van, note your reg and send you the ticket.

Wankxrs

Why don't they point their cameras at people driving with a phone to their ears?

Just a thought most speedo's over read (if not all). If you were doing an indicated 35 its possible you were actualy only doing 30-32 so they might not even bother.

as the replies above have said all they do is note down your rear number plate as you go past if you are over the limit.
