Of the ROP-mandated 45 laps total, alonso managed to achieve it all in a grand total of 50, including in-laps. The car was absolutely bolted to the deck though; plenty of downforce, the opposite of a qualifying trim.

After ROP was done, he did another 51 laps. Many of these were procedural (checking fuel consumption, stuff like that) - he was running out of tyres, as they only permit 5 new sets, and they only have a useful quali-pace life of about 15-20 laps each.
