Selling my 1968 classic and said in my ad' that the buyer will be given a fresh MOT with the car. I didn't expect such a rapid response for the sale and the earliest I can take it for an MOT is about five weeks time. If it sells tomorrow, seems likely fingers crossed, how do I resolve the MOT situation?

Do you mean it's 5 weeks until your in the 30 day period for keeping the same day/month for test? If so there is nothing to prevent you getting the car MOT'd earlier; you can get an MOT done at any time.

+1, , the date on the certificate is a notice to get it done by that date, you can run it in before , they might ask you why but just tell them you're selling it with a fresh ticket.

Thanks guys, I know where I am now regards is MOT marlarky.
Looking for a nice pre 1930 tourer or saloon, can't be doing with this modern 1960's machinery, as nice as it is!

Just wish I could have afforded it. We were both drooling over it at Ufford.

Thanks guys, the car has now sold and I have now begun my search for a late 1920s or early 30s car. Spotted one in Netherlands.
