Petrol cars just over 2 litres & under 160g/km

Just noted that HMRC recommended fuel rates for over 2 litre petrols are 22p mile - this is where you've opted out of a company car.
Anyone think of a suitable one, I did think a M135i would qualify but our company policy is below 160g/km!
Cheers
The HMRC recommended fuel rates are for company cars, for those in non company cars (including those who have opted out and taken the allowance) they allow up to 45p per mile, although your employer may pay less than this amount.Anyone think of a suitable one, I did think a M135i would qualify but our company policy is below 160g/km!

OP have I misunderstood and you mean your employer pays HMRC company car rates to those who have opted out and use their own car?
Yep. For both those in CC's & those opted out you get HMRC recommended rates. Which is a pain as a total numpty works out the rates. Even driving like a granny they don't cover petrol costs!acme said:
Nice one! Let's hope they drop like a stone!
Autos fine for what I do, national role!
Having said that it would be nice not to have a 3 series. Our work car parks look like BM dealers, & having time in a 3 this week, admittedly a 318D the plastics looked pretty cheap & nasty. Autos fine for what I do, national role!
