I am in the market for a gen 2 Cayman S to replace a recently sold classic car.

I contacted Adrian Flux (who insured the classic) for a quote. Second car (therefore no NcB); Mileage limited to 5000; clean driving record, garaged, in sleepy low crime Dorset, no competition or track use.

They quoted over £700 but admitted this is not their speciality.

Please can anyone recommend a broker who does specialise in this type of cover.

Many thanks
Philip

I'm not quite old enough for Saga (I'm 46)!

Roughly what premium should I be aiming for?

I was with Direct Line for my daily car with full ncb. When I asked them for a quote, they matched the ncb onto the Cayman.... £135. Result.

With Directl Line, NCD applied to my PCR I just renewed on 5k miles, protected NCD, no legal, basic replacement car, garaged, 1 no fault claim 3 yrs ago, and the Mrs insured on it for £394. Reducing the mileage to 3k it went up £5 !!!
