Top diff mounting bush

Afternoon all
Just bought a pair of the A046D6000F top rubber diff bushes, my old ones had a big washer on the top, which i assume was to stop them pulling through, the new ones are identical but the centre tube is much lower than the outer rubber, should they have a standard washer as a spacer then the big washer or does the big washer just squash the rubber down ( think that made sense)?
