Toyota GT86 My first sportscar
Discussion
I have had my GT86 for over 6 months now, and I love it. It was my dream (attainable) car since they were realised. Fortunately, late last year I was finally at a point where I could afford one. At that point my heart was set on one, and before I knew it I was driving away in my very own 86
That day was a mixture of emotions, it happened to be my birthday, and also meant saying bye to the Swift Sport I had before which I loved. If I could of had both I would but it wasn't to be unfortunately, so it was a sad goodbye in that respect. This was soon overcome with the feeling of disbelief for the next week at least, thinking that this amazing car I lusted after was now mine. Now I'm itching to modify it, which will hopefully start in a few months fingers crossed

Cheers, many mods lol. I'd like some valenti rear lights, exhaust system is a must. Other cosmetic bits, wheels coilovers. Once you start it's hard to stop ??
One of the lads in my work is looking at the valentis for his, buddy club's look great on them also - pricey though! That boxer engine sounds a lot more scooby-like with an aftermarket exhaust Congratulations OP.
You seem to have great taste in cars, following a Swift Sport with a GT86.
I think the GT86 looks great in red, and after a test drive a few years ago I think they drive really well too. I was tempted, but couldn't justify the cost, and used ones were still fetching good prices (and still are) - maybe one day I will scratch that itch!
Sounds like it is a keeper - enjoy!
Small world - I just noticed there is a thread from a Swift Sport owner on the same page!

Nice choice. My brother went from a Swift Sport to an 86 too. His is white, changed thge rear lights for TOM's (really expensive thanks to the exchange rate) and I've just had some lighter OZ alloys fitted with Michelin PS4's. The limit for slide is higher now but it feels more stable. Although I'm comparing it to winter tyres and it was 17c the weekend so not ideal for them
Next will probably be a map, manifold and full exhaust next. Undecided on EL or UEL manifold yet.
