Just to reply to myself :-)
Called MB UK, car had a v belt changed in 1995 at 48,000 km. Nothing else on the system so car may not have stayed within MB servicing from 3 years old.
Car in question is being advertised for sale with 80,000 km on and missing service history.
Not sounding good is it...

This site (image hopefully attached) states 243,000 km covered however car ad says 54k mileage hmmmm
Well it's off my list now so - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192182241232
Reasons I'm out:
Re-listed means to me there was a problem with the car although could be genuine buyer issue
Mileage and service history do not align with advert and my digging. Drivers seat bolster doesnt look like 54k miles either
Seems not to have been in MB Dealers since 1995 and only 3 years old
Big money on these 25 year old cars if fooked

I agree the mileage does look off, though it does seem very high early on. The advert doesn't really say what kind of history it has from Japan, though it does say only a couple of service bills, which would kill this car for me personally. I'd say the bolster is reading a little too much into it, it really depends who owned it. The paint isn't original and it isn't in that great condition according to the ad though it photographs well (ish). Still could be worth asking them a few questions or viewing it. I thought these were much more expensive than this.Re-listed means to me there was a problem with the car although could be genuine buyer issue
