mr2 Engine change JDM to uk spec

I have a 1995 MR2 Rev3 with a blown engine (4 years of tracking and being double driven so very forgiveable) I can get a 1997 3SGE JDM engine , will it just plug in or does it need anything done.

No idea but see if you can PM WeirdNeville. He put a Corolla engine in his and explored a lot of the compatibility issues.

Have a look on http://www.twobrutal.co.uk/forum/ or http://www.mr2oc.co.uk/ if you haven't already. twobrutal in particular have some guys that know all about sticking different engines in an MR2. I'm getting a 3 litre V6 VVTi in mine soon...
