Paints4u seems popular,or Autopaints in Brighton. Both should do 400ml aerosols.

Silly question, have you tried the dealer?

Worth a shot, there is a section on RealOEM under "vehicle trim" for paint.

But everyone tells me not to go the dealer smile

Ok I will check the recommended names first and then if at loss. I will try the dealer.

BMW don't make paint.
I'm not sure which supplier they use......as an example Fiat use PPG so going to a PPG dealer you should be able to get the best matching paint for a Fiat.
Other than that any company that mixes paint will be able to mix your BMW paint from the code ,just don't expect it to be a 100% match

Thank guys for the input. I actually did check autopaint in Brighton and that looks ok to order it. I did not expect not to find it from BMW or other resellers. I am quite enthused about trying myself.

Glasurit used to be the oem supplier for BMW paint. But same paint, different batch, could be slightly different shade. Any decent paint shop will be able to colour match the factory paint. If blended in to other panels, you wont be able to tell.

yep,i had a local car-paint supplier mix a can of paint for my 30-year old BMW with metallic paint, and the colour-match was pretty spot-on.

So I happened to stop at Halford's (I did not even know these shops existed) and they also can prepare the spray paint for you apparently if you do know your color code. On that occasion, they were missing one of the component in the mix (deep black). They also have body shop repair kits.
