E39 m5 engine

Evening,

I have a car with an M60 engine and fancied an upgrade to the S62.

Are the mounting points and basic size the same ?

I appreciate the ecu issue and getting the thing to run but would it fit ? The engine is mated to a non bmw gear box via a plate, so hopefully it would all mate up still.

Where would I find one ?

the s62 is based on the m62.

It's probably cheaper to buy an m5 though?
