advice please for replacement bracelet for 1680 Submariner
Discussion
Hi , I have recently purchased a 1971 , 1680 Rolex Submariner ( single red ) which is currently on a Nato strap. I would like to put it back on a bracelet if possible. Could someone please advise what bracelet / end links would fit / be the best choice. Am I right in thinking the later bracelets are more robust ? Ideally I would like the bracelet to be as original to the watch as possible. Many thanks in advance for any advice.
The watch when new would have probably come with a 9315 Oyster bracelet with 280 or 380 end links.
This version of the Oyster bracelet had folded links which were difficult to adjust and are not the most comfortable to wear. To get a 9315 bracelet in good condition will cost you a reasonable amount - hundreds of £
The other option is a 93150 bracelet with 580 end links which is more modern version which is more comfortable to wear and can be adjusted for length by removing links. Again these are not cheap

Sorry for another question - will bracelet & end links off of a 14060m fit the 1680 Sub please ? I think that was a 93150 ?
many thanks -
Hi Doug, as Chris suggests, a 93150 with 580's will go straight onto a 1680. I'd agree that the later 'solid' link Oyster is more comfortable and less 'rattly' to wear...many thanks -
