I've been reading through the old 2012 based bonnet hinge modification which indicated a modification and move of the hinge system.

I've just had the car painted and would like to not ruin the front valance. I can cope with the my usual ramps and a 3m paint protector for now.
But now learning today of this modification, i would like to look at this long term.

I'm not a mechanic or welder so am really asking those who have had the modification done if they know someone who can sort this for me in the hertfordshire+ 100mile radius area
thanks in advance. Ed

Surface And Design fitted mine, I'm pretty sure that they would be able to supply you all of the components.
It is all bolted so no welding required.

Not much to add S&D did mine too, mine was the prototype / guinna pig for the design.

I'm having the later version with gas struts retro fitted later in the year.

Great guys to deal with imho

Please let us know how you get on. I have a feeling I may not be the only one interested in a 'bolt on' type kit. thumbup

My preferred mod is the Phillpot one because it involves minimal welding and is "bolt-on". Have you seen this version? It was supposed to be one of this winter's projects but the Wedge took over so it's on the list for next winter. I'm just over the border in Bucks so if you want to compare notes feel free to get in touch.
