There's some really good stuff there. Apart from some money I want the stuff propperly recorded on cd . . . Anyone has some ideas? I thought of Ebay - but I'm not sure that's the right place.

I can reccord stuff onto CD, but it takes bloody ages to do it properly
And I'd be interested in some of your vinyl, certainly the jazz stuff
>> Just read your profile noticed you're bloody miles away, sorry
I know it takes ages, but when one's interrested . . .
I have some yummy Phineas Newborn / Herbie Nicholls 50s stuff: heavy.
Lovely when the needle hits the groove: wwwwwvvvvvvvvhhhhhhhoooephhhhhhuuuuuuhhhhhhh (bassy breathlike and kinda sexy)

I cant quantify why I say this, it just strikes me as wrong.
Besides, vinyl is much warmer than CD...
I know, maybe I pick up a player and play LPs when the kids are bigger . . . But: Sade anyone?

not wrong mate, i still play my vinyl on a regular basis. CD and MP3, whilst very convienient, lack the 'sense of occasion' that playing an LP provides, also the digital sound is too clinical for me.
Vinyl for sale -
Mid 90s I sold my record player and my humble album collection is stored ever since. Most LPs from the list below are nothing special but the are special to me. I know there are lots of vinyl lovers out there who would love to have some of the black gold listed here. Well it's easy. When you see an album you either collect (Leusden, The Netherlands) or pay for the sending. Important to me is that you record the LP on cd so I still can enjoy the music. Maybe you'll notice some rare stuff. I expect the connaisseurs to bid on that. The highest bidder gets the album and provides for the recording. No, the Sade's are for free.
Some stuff is Dutch. Almost all albumcovers are in good condition. The Oliver Nelson record is played way too much. The rest is without flaw. I added the year of issue

Plotloss said:Plotloss - if you remember recently I posted a similar thread about flogging off my vinyl. You gave the same advice to me.
Dont ever sell records...
Thanks for that mate - I took your advice. I had the house to myself on Friday and listened to some of my favourite LPs - Greenslade, King Crimson and Kraftwerk. And even with my 'cloth ears' I understood what you mean about the sound being warmer. Lovely nostalgic evening - left me quite emotional!
I have the same problem - I need the space but I dont know what to do with the vinyl.
Theres some cracking rare stuff too, & some really great memories.
Standing six foot from Herbie Hancock & The Headhunters live in concert - meeting Eddie Russ - seeing Donald Byrd, Ronnie Laws, Art Blakey & hundreds of others live on stage.
Then theres the heavier stuff - Led Zep, The Rolling Stones, Tricky....
How can I get rid of this stuff? Its not just round bits of plastic.
Sod it - the vinyl stays - we'll have to find another way round making more space
